Educational and community visiting Miniature horses

The four following horses are NOT available for adoption, they are permanent residents of this rescue.

Our club of "handy little helpers" consists of four (4) miniature horses ranging in size from 28 inches to 36 inches, ages from 7 - 11 years old. These special little gems are totally awesome horses, very gentle and patient. Used to being around lots of noise, crowds, flying banners, flags and bouncy castles. Loud colors and lots of noise do not affect them.

They visit elderly folks in nursing and other care facilities, sick people in their homes, schools, 4 H Clubs, and other events. They are educational and teach about how to handle horses and care for their needs. They listen to little girls secrets (and never tell). They allow kids to groom and love on them, and they stand still through out it all. It takes very special little gems to do this kind of work, and not lot of horses can fill this position. We are so blessed to have found four angels to help us in this work.

Every blue moon a special rare kind of horse is found, we are lucky to have been blessed with four.

HALF PINT.... Is a 32 inch gelding, chocolate palomino. He is a ex show horse who had his face smashed in by another horse, surgery repaired him, his face is wired together and his jaw has platelets. You would never know to look at him, the only tell tale sign is, his mouth does not close all the way giving him a "smiling look". Very gentle, sweet and loves kids.

ROLY POLY .... Is a 32 inch sorral/white pinto gelding. He is very gentle, but can be subborn. He is great with kids and checks out pockets and bags for treats.

SCRABBLE DABBLE ...... Everyone's fave little gelding. Love bug is not the word! Scrabble visit's nursing homes and home bound elderly. He is 28 inches tall (just a tad taller than a labrador dog), he fits very nicely in the back seat of a car. With a little help to climb in, he will hang his head out the window and let him mane fly in the wind, this does cause heads to turn as people go by and take a second look, not sure what it is they just saw!

WINNEY "the mini" mouse came to us in Sep 07 after being attacked by pit bull dogs and in need of medical attention. She showed us her "awesome" personality right away, and as the days turned into weeks she continued to win us over with how sweet and gentle she was. She was great with kids and any entering her pasture she would seek them out for attention right away. She showed signs of being one of the nicest "little gems" we had come across in a long time. So much in fact we decided to adopt her ourselves and let her join the team of our "handy little helpers". She is going to melt a 100 little girls hearts as we visit schools and clubs with her and the "little men". She's a tad too tall to go to the hospital and nursing homes. Welcome to the club Winney.
